Your name:
Theresa C.
Primary City / Market:
Dayton/Cincinnati
How long have you been doing promos?
Since 2014. I started off doing liquor promos.
Do you have a favorite Oxford Marketing event that you’ve worked?
Hmmmm, that is a tough one! The event is what you bring to it and leave with. So all my events have been great.
What do you enjoy most about being in this industry?
I love having a change of environment, new challenges, making new connections, and learning new things. No matter how long you have been in this industry, you can always learn more. Plus, these jobs are a lot of fun. I have been to places/events I would never have gone to otherwise.
In your opinion, what skills should every brand ambassador possess?
A smile and a positive attitude is the first thing. You should always come prepared to work, even if there’s not much to do. Being outgoing and comfortable talking with people freely is a huge plus. No matter what, it’s still a job and you’re representing a larger company. Simply put your best face forward and show them what you’re made of.
What are some hobbies that you enjoy when you aren’t working events?
Horseback riding, singing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, modeling, acting, stunts. I have worked on several commercials, print ads, and major film sets.
If money weren’t an issue, what is one thing you would spend it on without hesitation?
Remodeling my bathroom and redoing the layout of my house. Oh and the plumbing. LOL I know I sound like such an adult here, but home-ownership is HARD! Especially when the previous owner thought he was a skilled repair man.
Favorite movie of all time:
Whoa! This is alway the question that makes me think hard as I have favorites in different genres. Well, for comedy, I could watch Step Brothers several times and not get sick of it. But I can’t forget DeadPool…can we just skip this?
If you would like to sign up to work fun events with Oxford Marketing,
Good post. I learn something new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon everyday. Meta Jory Huber
