Primary City / Market:
How long have you been doing promos?
About 17 years- Guess I can’t keep telling people I’m 25 now 😉
Do you have a favorite Oxford Marketing event that you’ve worked?
I’ve have worked so many fun events with Oxford but I think the 7-11 convention in Vegas as the Sour Patch Kids handler was one of the top.
What do you enjoy most about being in this industry?
I get bored really easily so I enjoy that I’m always learning about new things and meeting new people and traveling to new places. This industry grants me the freedom and flexibility to earn a living while indulging my wanderlust. I enjoy being able to work an event in Vegas one week and Chicago the next. I enjoy getting to learn about so many different industries from tech to alcohol to sports. I enjoy meeting new people and reconnecting with familiar faces. It has been so great to work with like minded people who really appreciate how fortunate we are.
In your opinion, what skills should every brand ambassador possess?
Adaptability. It has been my experience that no matter how much planning goes into an event, something usually changes on the day -the weather, the staff, roles, uniform, etc. you can either freak out and be miserable or you can adapt/help find a solution and have a good time.
What are some hobbies that you enjoy when you aren’t working events?
I’m kind of known for my fernweh. I’m always planning my next adventure. When I am traveling to an event I like to explore the area as much as possible- the food, the local culture, and depending where I am at try to fit in either the beach or a hike or both.
If money weren’t an issue, what is one thing you would spend it on without hesitation?
My father always told me you can always find more money but there’s only so much time. I don’t really spend much money on material possessions, almost everything I own was thrifted, free, or on sale. I would rather spend my money on experiences. If money weren’t an issue I’d probably buy more plane tickets.
Favorite movie of all time:
It is hard to pick just one but I would say Moana. We have a shared wanderlust and the songs are pretty great. I also appreciate that it is one of the few Disney films where the focus was on a strong, independant, female lead and not falling in love with or being saved by a prince.
